The World of Yeast Products

The Applications are endless…

Bio Springer Culinary Center is committed to your success. It proposes a wide range of formulations and recipes to demonstrate the benefits of our natural ingredients.

Our experienced team can collaborate with you to develop or optimize your recipes. Find out how to use our products in new ways, such as to reduce sodium in the food.

Soups, sauces, broths and gravies

Incorporated into soups and sauces, yeast extracts can provide delicate flavouring notes, as well as richer tastes. Because of their intense flavour, they can also help you reduce the sodium content of your packaged goods.

Snack seasonings

Add yeast products to potato chips, crackers, and other snacks for a natural taste sensation.

They act as flavour carriers and taste improvers.

Ready meals

Adding yeast products to prepared meals — such as risotto, hamburger mixes, macaroni and cheese — can balance the overall flavour of your recipe. Yeast products are resistant to freezing, canning, and heating processes.

Processed fish / meat and analogues

In addition to being flavour improvers, yeast extracts also improve the texture of meat products, help to reduce fats, and serve as binders in recipes.

Incorporated into dairy recipes, yeast extracts improve the overall flavour profile of the product; and because of their richness, creamy products seem fattier and richer.

Selected grades of Bio Springer yeast extracts can develop baked flavours in bakery products (cakes, biscuits…). As a result they may allow reducing the amount of added flavour like vanilla, almond, nut…
In addition, as yeast extracts contain precursors of Maillard reactions, preparations staining, as for baking in an oven.
And note that yeast extracts aren’t just used for savoury foods! In sweet applications, they bring cocoa, caramel, butter, creamy, and baked notes, as well as a rich, long-lasting flavour.

Adding yeast products to beverages can increase the taste of the drink and give a round long lasting flavour. They can also help to reduce the sweeteners aftertaste.

Lesaffre is seen as a reference in the yeast and bread-making fields. Its knowledge of yeast and its expertise in the fermentation have encouraged the Lesaffre group to establish a presence in the emerging human and animal nutrition markets.
